Buy a Book. Grow a Reader.

It’s a staggering statistic — nearly 2 out of 3 children in low-income Arizona communities do not have a single children’s book to call their own.

When you donate books through the Grow a Reader program, you help fill this critical gap, help children and families foster a love for reading together and improve literacy among young children in our state.  You are not just an early literacy advocate — you are a life changer.

Supporting this effort is easy!

• Shop our Grow a Reader Virtual Book Drive page here.  You can make a quick donation or choose books you love with our on-line shopping cart.
• Visit one of our restaurant partners during May and pick up a flower or flyer and donate through the QR code on the back.
• Order a “Super Reader” (aka Super Foods) Salad during the month of May at Miracle Mile Deli and they will donate a book to the Grow a Reader drive in honor of their 75th Anniversary
• If you’re a business owner, consider sponsoring our donor match for one week either for the entire community — or just your team members.  To learn how, email give@swhd.org
