Charitable Tax Credit
Contributions to Qualifying Charitable Organizations
Did you know that by donating to Southwest Human Development you’re eligible to receive a dollar-for-dollar Arizona tax credit?
The State of Arizona offers an income tax credit to people who support qualifying charitable organizations. Formerly known as the Working Poor Tax Credit, this allows donors like you to receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for making a financial contribution to Southwest Human Development.
With recent changes to Arizona law, you can now receive up to $400 back on your state taxes as an individual or up to $800 when filing married/joint! It’s also no longer necessary to itemize your taxes and you can claim this credit in addition to any public or private school tax credits!
Our Arizona Charitable Tax Credit QCO Code is 20390. (You’ll need this number when filing your state taxes!)
For more information about the tax credit and filing instructions, please visit the Arizona Department of Revenue website. For answers to Frequently Asked Questions for Taxpayers about the tax credit, click here.
