According to Serve.gov and a Scholastic Access to Books report, children in low-income neighborhoods had just one book per 300 kids. In middle and upper-income neighborhoods, there are 13 books for every child. You can help us change this!

Little Free Libraries are “take one, leave one” book stations!

You provide:

    • $500 donation per library
    • Volunteers for assembly
    • Outdoor “paint and primer in one” in the colors that you want
    • Decorations that you want (beads, buttons, logo, etc.)
    • Preference for library placement location
    • Gently-used children’s book drive
    • On-going maintenance (optional)

Southwest Human Development provides:

    • DIY kit for library and instructions
    • Official charter number and recognition plaque
    • Staff or volunteer onsite day of building to support and share your community impact
    • Assistance with securing location and permissions in neighborhoods where there is little or no access to books
    • Installation of library
    • Assistance with book acquisition; ongoing maintenance of the library (optional)

Help provide access to books in communities where they are needed the most by funding and stocking your own Little Free Library!

Get involved with your corporate group, earn community service hours for school or your Eagle Scout project or just because you care about kids!
