Six easy ways to give back this #GivingTuesday

Countless individuals, communities and organizations unite on #GivingTuesday to promote philanthropic efforts and celebrate generosity worldwide.

The holiday is traditionally held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on Tuesday, December 3. The global giving movement has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world.

Big or small, every gift counts this #GivingTuesday. The day of collective action aims to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. Each and every person has the power to make a difference and support the causes they hold close to their heart.

Join the Gingerbread Kids Campaign

Families and individuals can help children in need by participating in Southwest Human Development’s annual Gingerbread Kids Campaign, an initiative which ensures that children in need receive holiday gifts during this special time of year. Parents who find themselves in challenging situations may be unable to participate in traditional holiday gift-giving because they are focused on paying bills or meeting their family’s basic needs. On widely-recognized shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, keep our Gingerbread Kids Campaign in mind! To participate, please contact Annette Sutfin at (602) 633-8416 or asutfin@swhd.org.
