Walk With Me raises $132,000 for young children with disabilities
Southwest Human Development held its 11th Annual Walk With Me Family Fun Walk and Carnival on Saturday, Feb. 23, to benefit its Easterseals services for children with disabilities. The morning-long event featured fun activities for adults and kids of all ages, food and drinks, games, crafts and more!
Sponsored by the Arizona Coyotes Foundation, Humana, Lockton, the Safeway Foundation and Homesite, more than 1,300 people participated in the 2019 event that raised $132,154, with additional donations still rolling in!
“This is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Jake Adams, Southwest Human Development’s chief development officer. “Our Southwest Human Development community is incredibly supportive of the work we do and it’s always so much fun to see everyone who comes together at this annual event to help the young kids that are served through our Easterseals programs.”
A special thank you to FOX 10’s Jude LaCava, Arizona Rep. Jennifer Longdon, the Movment dance team, Just Energy Entertainment, and all of the 2019 supporting sponsors, including American Furniture Warehouse, Century 21, Colonial Life, Kaplan Early Learning Company, Konica Minolta, Muscular Moving Men, Ryley Carlock & Applewhite, Delta Dental, CVS Health, CBIZ MHM, Lakeshore, Shea Homes and T-Mobile!
