Annual Easterseals Golf Classic raises $81,400 for children with disabilities

Southwest Human Development held its 5th annual Easterseals Golf Classic on Thursday, Oct. 17, to benefit its Easterseals services for children with disabilities. The tournament, held at the Westin Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale, featured 18 holes of golf, a silent auction and a $1,000 raffle!

“The Easterseals Golf Tournament is such an amazing event to host,” said Jake Adams, Southwest Human Development’s chief development officer. “Our sponsors are so supportive of the work we do and it’s always great to see such passion in helping the young children that are served through our Easterseals programs.”

This year’s tournament was sold out with over 140 golfers participating. Thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, Southwest Human Development raised $81,400. In its fifth year, the golf tournament has now raised over $230,000 in total. More than fifty companies participated in the event, including CVS, Anheuser-Busch, Brown Forman, Mortenson, Performance Contracting, Pernod Ricard, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and more.
