‘Dream Big, Move Fast’ charity car raffle benefits Arizona kids, families in need

Prizes include an all-new 2021 Toyota Venza, $1,000 cash and more

Southwest Human Development launched its inaugural “Dream Big, Move Fast” car raffle to support its many early childhood programs and services that serve more than 140,000 Arizona children, their families and professionals each year.

Presented by Valley Toyota Dealers and CENTURY 21 Arizona Foothills, the “Dream Big, Move Fast” raffle’s grand prize winner will receive an all-new 2021 Toyota Venza. Several early bird drawings will also occur throughout the contest period for prizes, including a $1,000 cash prize courtesy of CENTURY 21 Arizona Foothills, a $1,000 American Furniture Warehouse gift card and an Apple tech prize pack donated by AmeriFirst Financial.

“When you buy a raffle ticket, you’re helping babies born prematurely in a hospital near your home, toddlers who have experienced trauma or have developmental disabilities in your community, and families who want their children to be ready to learn when they enter kindergarten,” said Jake Adams, chief development officer of Southwest Human Development. “This charity raffle is going to provide critical funding and make a tremendous impact on families throughout Arizona by ensuring those who need a little extra help have the support they need during their child’s earliest years.”

Raffle tickets are available through July 31: $50 for five entries or $20 for a single entry. Tickets can be purchased online at DreamBigMoveFastRaffle.com or by calling (602) 706-8482 to complete a purchase by phone.

“We’re honored to partner with Southwest Human Development and Valley Toyota Dealers to present the ‘Dream Big, Move Fast’ raffle and promote the programs that Southwest Human Development has developed for kids around the Valley,” said Floyd Scott, president of CENTURY 21 Arizona Foothills. “We have been a proud philanthropic partner of Southwest Human Development for over 30 years. Our broker, sales associates and employees embody the mission of Southwest Human Development to provide exceptional services, outreach and advocacy for children so that they can reach their fullest potential.”

As one of the largest early childhood nonprofits in the nation, Southwest Human Development recognizes that a child’s earliest experiences and relationships establish the foundation for future development. Through more than 40 comprehensive programs focused on young children from birth to age 5, families receive life-changing support with child development, mental health, Easterseals disabilities services, early literacy, Head Start and Early Head Startfamily support and child welfare. Southwest Human Development also provides extensive professional development and training across the nation for those who work with young children.

“The past year-and-a-half has been devastating for many of our partners in the early childhood community and for many families we serve who have been disproportionally impacted by the coronavirus pandemic,” Adams added. “Families have struggled to make ends meet, children have missed out on social-emotional development from not being able to attend high-quality early learning settings, and many preschools and child care centers have struggled to remain open and operate safely, with some even having to close their doors altogether. This raffle is going to make a real difference in helping close gaps and hurdles as we transition to a post-pandemic way of life.”
