When school supplies, clothing, and basic necessities can cost up to $600 per child, too many children are forced to begin the year without what they need to fully participate and succeed.

Through our Back-to-School Drive, Southwest Human Development works to remove that burden by providing essential supplies to the children and families we serve. With the support of our community, we transform donations into backpacks filled with the tools that help children feel prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Every contribution makes a tangible difference, ensuring no child has to start the school year at a disadvantage.

Looking for another way to give? You can maximize your impact with your gift while also qualifying for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit of $506 for individuals or $1,009 for couples. Giving at the full amount helps provide essential backpacks and school supplies to more children, so they can start the school year confident, prepared, and ready to succeed.
