Educare Arizona to receive Red Nose Day grant, tune in to NBC on May 23

Educare Arizona, home to one of Southwest Human Development’s Early Head Start and Head Start programs, will benefit from the Red Nose Day campaign on May 23.

Red Nose Day is a national fundraising campaign started by the nonprofit Comic Relief that focuses on ending child poverty by funding programs that keep children safe, healthy and educated. Since the first Red Nose Day in 2015, $150 million has been raised to help over 16 million children in America and around the world.

The funds raised will support teacher training, peer learning and professional development efforts at Educare Arizona.

“This grant provides an incredible opportunity for Educare Arizona to continue to innovate and grow,” says Jake Adams, chief development officer of Southwest Human Development. “Funding from Red Nose Day will allow us to build upon our programs that help Phoenix-area families and communities thrive.”
