Training for Pediatric Behavioral Health Providers

 

Trauma has a disruptive and potentially long-lasting impact on children, families, and communities. A trauma-informed approach to services supports well-being and recovery.

 

Southwest Human Development is offering trauma-informed care training designed for pediatric behavioral health providers participating in the AHCCCS Targeted Investments (TI) Program who work with children ages birth to 18.

 

Core Areas of Focus

    • Principles of trauma-informed care and implications of trauma in childhood
    • The impact of trauma on relationships and the importance of relationships in helping children heal from trauma
    • Characteristics of evidence-based trauma-informed practices

 

Eligibility and Fees

Trauma-informed care training is open to participants in the AHCCCS Targeted Investment (TI) Program in pediatric behavioral health including clinicians, supervisors and case managers who work with children ages birth to 18. Registration fees are $125-$150 per participant per class.
