Arizona Child and Adolescent Survivor Initiative

A Program of the Family Violence Institute at Northern Arizona University

The Arizona Child and Adolescent Survivor Initiative’s mission is to deliver a multi-county, trauma-informed care system to provide wraparound services to child survivors of intimate partner homicide.

In an effort to provide crucial emotional support services, Southwest Human Development has partnered with the Family Violence Institute at Northern Arizona University to offer trauma-informed individual and family counseling to eligible children and families as part of a larger system of supportive services.

Program Eligibility

Services are provided free of charge by Southwest Human Development for eligible children in Maricopa County and may be provided any time after the homicide up until a child turns age 18.
