Signs and Symptoms of Child Abuse and Mandated Reporting (Part 1)

This training defines the types of child abuse along with types of behaviors, signs, and symptoms. A full review of the Arizona mandated reporting law will be provided including when/how to report, what to report, and consequences of not reporting. Centers/family home providers, who have a current contract with DES, are eligible for up to 16 hours of on-site consultation/technical assistance from a mental health consultant.

 

Success in Working with DCS and DCS Children (Part 2)

This training provides early childhood professionals with the knowledge they need to secure appropriate information about children within the DCS and foster care system. The training will work to help resolve concerns based on written policy, and will also improve the quality of care for children by ensuring a process for collaborative communication between DCS and professionals working with young children. Centers/family home providers, who have a current contract with DES, are eligible for up to 16 hours of on-site consultation/technical assistance from a mental health consultant.

 

Social and Emotional Development: Understanding the Impact of Trauma on Young Children (Part 1)

This training helps early childhood professionals understand the social and emotional development of infants and young children, the impact of trauma, and the importance of caregiving relationships in the health/development of young children. Centers/family home providers, who have a current contract with DES, are eligible for up to 16 hours of on-site consultation/technical assistance from a mental health consultant.

 

Social and Emotional Development: Understanding the Impact of Trauma on Young Children (Part 2)

This training helps early childhood professionals recognize symptoms of trauma in young children, highlights the importance of environment and routine, and provides basic strategies to support children within the child care setting. Centers/family home providers, who have a current contract with DES, are eligible for up to 16 hours of on-site consultation/technical assistance from a mental health consultant.
