Donate a Vehicle

Call (855) 500-RIDE and CARS will do the rest!

Donating your car, truck, van, SUV, boat, motorcycle, ATV, RV, trailer or airplane has never been easier!

Southwest Human Development is excited to partner with CARS, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports more than 1,500 nonprofits. Through this partnership, we’re able to accept vehicle donations to benefit Arizona’s young children and their families.

To make a vehicle donation, please call 855-500-RIDE (7433) or fill out the online form below.

CARS Donation Process

1. Schedule the Vehicle Pickup
CARS will contact you within 24 hours to schedule a pickup within 2-3 business days. If you need your car picked up sooner, please call 855-500-RIDE (7433). The vehicle will be picked up by a licensed tow company at no cost to you and you will be provided a pick-up receipt by the tow truck operator. You will need the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it, CARS can help by calling 855-500-RIDE (7433).

 2. Car is Sold

CARS’ goal is to ensure the maximum amount of money for each vehicle donation. When it is cost-effective, CARS will make major and/or minor mechanical repairs. CARS uses auction houses to sell the majority of donated vehicles, but may use other means for unique or specialty items.

3.  CARS Provides All Necessary Tax Receipts and IRS Forms

CARS will provide a written acknowledgment of your vehicle donation. Once the vehicle is sold, and it is determined that your donated car qualifies for a deduction of more than $500, CARS will mail you an additional receipt and will include IRS Form 1098-C, Contributions of Motor Vehicles, Boats and Airplanes. This information will be mailed to you within 30 days of the vehicle sale if you provided your tax identification number at the time of your initial donation.
