About Southwest Human Development
Southwest Human Development was founded in 1981 as a nonprofit organization. The agency has long been recognized as a leader in providing comprehensive services for children ages birth through five and their families in five primary areas:
Child Health and Development
Easter Seals Disabilities Services
Southwest Head Start
Early Literacy
Professional Training and Development
Southwest is the state’s largest community-based organization of its type serving 135,000 children and families each year. In 2007, the agency became the Easter Seals affiliate for central and northern Arizona.
