We are seeking a bilingal Community Development Specialist that is friendly, compassionate and is able to work closely with the Community Development Manager to build and maintain Alliance of family support/home visitation providers. Responsibilities include performing diverse clerical support, telephone duties, triage of referrals for family support providers, and community development/public relations duties for the designated Family Support Services department.
The specialist will also assist the manager in coordinating referrals of families to most appropriate program to meet their needs, initial phone screening or in-person screening at community events, database entry and follow-up with agencies. In addition, the specialist will provide reports to Alliance partners & funders, maintain database, assist in coordinating involvement in community outreach efforts, and assist manager with marketing efforts including website and social media development.
Position is initially offered part-time (20 hours/wk) with a flexible work schedule and the potential to increase to full time hours in July of 2012.This position includes partial benefits, pro-rated holiday pay, and sick/vacation hour accruals based on hours worked.

SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER – SMART SUPPORT

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee the implementation of the Mental Health Consultation to Childcare Program.
The program provides mental health consultation services for a variety of early care and education providers including preschool teachers, home-based and center-based child care providers, and home visiting program staff. The overall objective of the consultation services is to collaborate with early care and education providers to enhance their understanding of and capacity to meet the behavioral/emotional/mental health needs of the children (ages birth to five years) and families they serve.
The Senior Program Manager provides direct services including individual and group supervision to the Smart Support Supervisors and is responsible for being able to perform all duties of the Mental Health Consultants which include: conducting mental health consultation services to assist in identifying children in need of special assistance for behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental problems; providing written recommendations regarding individual children referred for mental health services, and; offering suggestions regarding general childcare management procedures and strategies to increase overall behavioral compliance and the promotion of optimal mental health in all children.
Additional Senior Program Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to: responsible for consistency and improvement of mental health consultation services across the state; monitor performance of all consultants under supervisors, assist supervisors in addressing disciplinary actions, as well as aid partner and subcontractor agencies in hiring and termination decisions; attend critical meetings with First Things First when serious issues arise around service delivery and/or collaboration on Quality Improvement System, and; in addition to providing behavioral health services within assigned contracts/programs, will also provide training, consultation and technical assistance regarding behavioral health issues to a diverse group of personnel.
